    Happy New Years

Wanting to wish everyone a Happy New Years this is my favorite holiday always offering up so many surprises and hopes, do you make New Years resolutions ? Are there any specific things you do to celebrate or tradition like banging pots ? What does the New Year mean to you if anything ?

We stay at home, and have crab legs as our NY tradition. We try to stay up until midnight but usually some of our kids don't make it! Maybe next year the little ones won't be so little anymore and we can plan an outing.

I really wanted to go to see Imagine Dragons on NYE but I could never afford it for 6 people and no way was I going to start a new year without my kids and bulldogs. Any time but a holiday, especially that one.

My 2015 wasn't the greatest, but so many people in the world have it do much worse. But I hope for a little better year. I need to decide what to do with my stupid hand.....

We awake at Mid night give a smooch wish each other a happy happy and roll over to sleep , very quiet for us always has been since we got married 30 plus yrs ago lol
Zero BS resolutions that no one keeps as you can do that at any time of year without announcing it to everyone to Me a Marketing plan ,, Ron MY Grand MoM banged the pots lol she stopped when the neighbourhood changed to Up and comers and they called the cops on her lol was funny as hell , she was old English lady from Leeds UK , never seen two cops more scared of a 70 year old women . That said they did not shoot her like might happen today I am sure pots would be considered a weapon Now , how we have changed in a generation

Happy New Year's All! We typically have a quiet night of gaming and this year was no exception. No resolutions since I don't keep them anyway but I have continuous goals in mind, first and foremost to enjoy life as much as I can and try to aspire to be as happy as possible.

Sorry I'm late to this thread, but Happy New Year to everybody! We don't go out on New Year's Eve anymore, rarely ever have really unless a neighborhood thing was going on. One of my boys was born on New Year's Eve, so it's his birthday. Our tradition is me cooking black-eyed peas on New Year's Eve. I don't like them, except I have a recipe that we do like--and you know, you can't skip the black-eyed peas in Texas or you'll have bad luck for a year! We watch the Twilight Zone marathon on the Syfy channel and Roy watches college football. Sometimes people come by for peas or football, but we're always at home. I don't usually mark anniversary dates, but my mama died on New Year's Day, so I can't help but remember that one every year (22years ago). Hope everyone has a wonderful 2016! @[replacer_a] Ron, we don't make official resolutions, but I have a few in the back of my mind anyway. And we're usually asleep at midnight, with Twilight Zone on the TV!
