My English Bulldog has Hyperkeratosis . .

My 7-year old Male English Bulldog has Hyperkeratosis of all four-paws and his Nose. His Nose is in very bad condition.
I have been using Vitamin-E, Aquafor, and Kerasol. His Nose has split and separated from his Upper lip, and his Upper lip has just Split down the middle. At this point, I'm not quite sure what to do for him. I have Sent an email to his
    Vet Dermatologist asking for help.

His Paws have to be trimmed with scissors every month, but his Nose looks horrible and I need some advice from any
dog owner who has experienced Hyperkeratosis with their dogs.

    Thank You.

    Patrick

Hi there. I don't have experience with it but there is an article on here about it: http://pethelpforum.com/content/29-d...osis-dogs.html

Have you tried coconut oil on his nose?

Also, there is a great site like this one dedicated to English Bulldogs if you want to join there as well. It is very active and has a lot of great members that might be able to help you. It is englishbulldognews.com.

Hi Maximus, I would keep his nose as moist as possible using the aquaphor , and some neosphorin on the split to help it heal. He also may need a trip to the vet.

I have spoken to his Vet Dermatologist on the phone - He also recommended the Neosporin ointment on the split down his upper lip
and to use Tacrolimus, however, that ointment can not be applied anywhere around the nose or mouth. So I continue to use Aquaphor
    on his Nose.
