    Hey LeonDick
Cats, unlike dogs, enjoy indoors a lot and prefer to stay put. However, they are equally vulnerable to diseases. If you have a pet cat or are planning to get one, these are some of the diseases you need to be aware of:
Feline Rabies - Cats are observed to be more rabid than any other domestic animal in the US and feline rabies is the most dangerous disease a cat can contract as this disease attacks the nervous system. Some of the symptoms you need to keep an eye on are poor coordination, drooling, fever, strange behavior, and weight loss.
Tapeworms - common feline health problems kitten’s get by swallowing a flea. Tapeworms are likely to live in kitten’s small intestine and can grow around 2 ft. Vomiting and excessive weight loss are the symptoms you need to watch out.
Eye Problems - In cats, eye problems can be caused by a number of things, including conjunctivitis, cataracts, glaucoma, or retinal disease. Some of the symptoms to watch out include watery eyes, cloudiness, red or white eyelid linings, or pawing at the eye.
My personal suggestion will be to take your cat to a vet. You can search for vets and check their ratings online. Here are some of the portals that were of great help to me- vetstreet, greatvet, etc.
